Today I've been mulling over what genre I'd like to do for my final piece. I think I'm pretty set on a horror/thriller because not only are those my favourite types of film, there are so many different directions I can take that so I won't be limited! Plus I think I have the perfect actors in mind for a horror too so. I'm gonna do some more mind-mapping of ideas tomorrow afternoon but yeah, I think I'm pretty set on what I want.

Did you manage to do your research into title sequences? Remember - an understanding of the codes and conventions of these is crucial to achieving a level 4 mark. A key thing are the order (and nature) of the credits; when you are planning out your sequence you should build these in from the outset - it should not be a last-minute thing (this often happens). In particular, you might want to consider how you are going to create ideas of foreshadowing and symbolism, since these can be quite significant, particularly considering your choice of genre. You should aim to select a range of films within the horror/ thriller genre and analyse how their title/ opening sequences function, particularly if there are "typical" conventions of the titles and opening scenes.
